I have to have a new ignition switch for my IHI 55j. It came with a 6-pole switch, only 5 of which were used (R2 not in use) so I tried an aftermarket NAPA 5-pole (self-grounded, separate Start/Ignition poles) but it didn't work. I was hoping to be up & running this weekend (found problem when I got to work Friday morning) but it looks like I've got to wait on the dealership to open up Monday morning. Has anybody else run into this problem? Supposedly the NAPA 5-pole has the same sequence, but the wires on the old switch aren't color-coded the same as what the 55j wiring diagram shows. Even the manufacturer in Kentucky was confused.
