Idler not self adjusting

Perhaps I am resigned to taking off the tracks and cleaning the idler slider. It seems to bind on occasion (tracks become tight), then releases. Has anyone used grease or whatnot on the idler track? Sometimes, I can lift the offending side and run the tracks back and forth to release tension.
I have adjusted the idler on numerous occasions, thinking I didn't have it adjusted, but this problem keeps cropping up. I've looked in the inspection ports, and they look clean (spring and grease ram). The idler track looked fine last time I replaced an idler (bearing shot).
Maybe it is the material I play in...sandy fill mostly, and some heavy organic slop. No clay, maybe a little silt.

How negotiable are new equipment sales?

Okay, I have a customer that has currently three mini excavators. Two cats 302.5 and a 303 CR and a John Deere 27d. He is looking at a new machine possibly a bobcat either 26 or 32. My customer does not speak really great English and sometimes has a language barrier while ordering parts for his machines now. Sometimes he has me order his parts for him. Are the prices of new equipment negotiable like new cars?

Hi all, been on here a few times with different questions, never got any responses though, hope someone has some ideas. Just bought a hardly used Takeuchi TB250 and was wondering if i could wire in a switch to the ground side of fuel pull off switch on the injection pump to act as a poor mans antitheft device. Would also like to hear of other ways i could do this . Thanks, Stephen

Input wanted changing hydraulic oil on Hitachi ZX35U-3 (2011, 800 hrs unknown use)

Hello,

Looking thru the operators manual they break out jobs on changing the filters (2), cleaning the 3rd filter and changing the oil itself into different processes. Wrong to assume you could not do all 4 things at one time? Manual also mentions bleeding the system at the pump and making sure to add oil there as well as tank. Any tips or other locations to add? Should I go as far a s removing lines and trying to somehow add oil to them too? Never having dsone it, input would be useful. Thanks in advance!

Nee to get some help with steel tracks on my KH151. Trying to split the join link but cannot get the pin out, im using a 5pound sledge hammer and a piece of solid round rod to drive out the pin but it wont play ball. Does anyone on the forum have one of these machines ? I need to know if the pinon the inside of the track has a T head that sits un a groove on the inside of the joint link, as mine has, I don't want to use the oxy saw on it if I cant get a new one.

Cat 303CCR Battery Removal

It shouldn't be this difficult. The battery cannot be lifted high enough to clear the bottom of the compartment door opening. I cannot tip out at the top because the battery hits the wiring harness connector secured right above it.

Anyone been through this that can tell me what you did?

TIA,
Jerry

Takeuchi TB125 bucket search help

Hello all,
I'm knew to this forum, but have used it a lot lately to make a purchase. I just bought a 2005 Takeuchi TB125 with ~3200 hours on it, and awaiting delivery. It will be for personal use to help dig a pond on my land. I have been damming up the far side of a ravine with my Kubota L3800 tractor/loader with toothbar and BH77 backhoe. I am at a point now where I needed an excavator to finish the job. I 'ran out' of dirt to build the dam.

So I will now use the excavator to 'dig the side of the ravine' to get the dirt and stack it on the dam. This will make the pond bigger and get me the dirt I need. I built the base of the dam last year with dirt from a hill adjacent to the ravine side, but now that dirt is used and the hill is now leveled flat with the future side of the pond.

Anyhow, my poor backhoe is to short to reach over the side to dig, and even though I love it to death, that BH77 is painfully slow, and I don't want to 'beat' on it much more. So enter the mini-excavator.

Now I have thought about a)hiring it done....b) renting a larger machine.....c) buying a larger piece of equipment and then selling it when done.....d) or do what I did and purchased a more economical one and keep it around as a pet.

So my question is:
It comes with an 18" very shallow toothed bucket. My BH77 is 16" but looks like it could hold more material. How do I go about finding say a 24" toothed bucket with more volume?
I know it has 35mm diamter pins, but thats about it.
Takeuchi buckets I am learning are hard to find. So can someone school me on these 'quick couplers' and if that may work. I've seen TB125 couplers for sale from $600-$1200, then I would need a bucket to fit the coupler right? So what coupler brand/system would I pick?
Could I try to make another manufacturers bucket with 35mm diameter pins try to fit mine?

Thanks so much for your advice!!
Jamo
