I can not find the valve to swicth from breaker to thumb mode! I just put thumb on but it is on hammer mode. the machine is a 2002 kubota kx41-2v:Banghead

Drop in revs when slewing to the left?
Hi there,
My komatsu PC30mr-1 drops revs just a little bit when slewing to the left, the revs don't pick up till i slew to the right for a bit.
I wasn't to worried about it, its only a slight drop and doesn't really affect performance, but thought i would ask in case it is a sign of something bad to come.
Its an old machine and they don't make a lot of parts for this model, so if a major part is on its way out it would be good to know.
I called komatsu they didn't have a clue.

Not another PC30MR-1 problem!
Hi there,
My machine has been temporarily losing the ability to lift the boom off the ground and travel.
All the functions seem very weak when this is happening, so it maybe all functions are having almost no power and the boom lift and travel are not really or barely moving due to having a bit of resistance.
This was occurring on the occasion, maybe 1 or 2 times a day but with this hot weather the past few days here in Australia it has been happening often, and affecting work.
Thursday was the worst, being 42 degrees C out side, it was happening at least every 15 mins and it was incredibly annoying. It usually only happens for a few seconds but Thursday afternoon i was working it real hard and the boom went week and could not get it off the ground at all after trying for a few minutes! so had to pack up for the day.
I thought it could be air in the lines because i did have this happen a few months back after i changed all the hydraulic oil, filter and strainer, but I do cycle the cylinders to bleed any air in the system and it still occurs no matter how often i do the hole air bleeding procedure.
Occasionally when the machine hasn't been used in a few days when starting it up the hydraulic pump sounds like it has air in it for a about 2 seconds then sounds normal.
If anyone could help with this i would really appreciate it.

Takeuchi TB135
Hello everyone,
Jut bought a Takeuchi TB135 in the fall. I bought it with a few known problems in an attempt to save money....... I got the Mini for a pretty low price and it does get the job done. The problem I am having is trying to get a service manual for it. I am having a problem with a low turret speed and the blade will not pick up the machine more then an inch or 2. I can manually raise the machine and the blade will hold in any position but it will not lift and the thumb will randomly fall if not fully retracted. The only other issue is the head gasket is blown which I hope to get repaired in the next week or 2. So any help on a manual or where to start on the hydraulics would be great.

Edd--problem with Cat 302.5 mini
1999 mini excavator -cat 302.5 with cab - engine runs fine - the hydronic sword intermittently -
Sequence Of event
1 - it will be working ok
2- when I lift the left console and pull switch handle up - But then when I return the console to the Down or operating position the hydronics most time will not operate immediately.
3- if I increase the RPM's many times I will start to work
4- it's sometime works for hr's but then it will stop working monetarily
5- but it's never stops working completely- it alway stats working
The switch in the console has be changed twice in the last two year by the Cat dealer-
Hear in Montana. They also did some wiring work -
Now they are telling me that in need to send it too trier shop so
They can take the cab off so they can look at everything.
If I life the floorboard is there anything that would be there that might be cousing the problem Ed

Expensive Pop?
well my smallest excavator has been foaming in the hydraulic tanks for the last few days, let it sit 30 minutes or so and the foam would disappear and machine would function fine. Weirdest part was it was an intermittent problem, well today after running for about 30 minutes there was a loud pop and the joysticks jumpped. Now no hydraulic functions at all, bobcat is comming in the morning to pick up, I was able to drag it out of the spot it was in and out to the road with a second machine but was unable to get it loaded on my trailer. Am I over thinking this or am I probably due for a hydraulic pump?

Hello all, very green to heavy equipment. Looking at a 06 cat 303.5ccr, cab, heat, air, thumb no coupler. About 1400 hours. Apears to be in good shape except for good size dent on the top of the blade. Everything else looks good. Won't budge from $26000.00. Is this a good price? Im using it around my property for stump removal (pine and hardwood 12 to 18" diameter) and for installing drainage. Started off looking at full size backhoes, for snow removal too and kinda switched gears to the mini ex route. Think this will do what i want or should i be looking bigger. Thanks in advance.

Looking to Purchase a Used Mini Excavator - Tips & Price Range Thoughts
Hi guys, I am glad I stumbled across this site. I have read a few threads and I can see that a lot of knowledge, including repair help is available which is great.
Here is some history and hoping to get some input. I started to think about buying a mini used excavator. I am currently working on my home and need to dig up up my foundation for my basement which is only 4 feet underground to rewater proof my walls. 2 sides of the wall are under cantilevered 2 foot over hangs. I also need to do some regrading of dirt to make sure water rolls away from the house. I will also eventually need to tear up my asphalt drive way and redo it with pavers (Not sure if the mini can help with that)
I started to think about just getting a used mini excavator to get the above done since the rental rate in NJ is about 2k a month. I have no experience working with heavy equipment and figured I probably couldn't get all the above work done in a month.
I guess I should probably start off with the basics. How many hours can one expect out of these small machines before really having issues with them? I know maintenance is big deal but when you are buying a used machine, its difficult to know reality vs real.
When problems do happen, is this someone whos is mechanically inclined can fix? (I'm a car guy)
Anyone have any experience buying from online sites like Equipment Trader, Machinery Trader etc? Units on craigs up here are pretty expensive from what I am seeing.

Bobcat 337 weak swing in one direction
I was wondering if anyone can help me. I have a Bobcat 337 with 3500 hours on it. I noticed recently that when swinging right, the swing is slow and weak. Slewing to the left seems normal. 11 rpm if what factory says it should do and I am getting about 8. It actually seems slower at full throttle. I replaced the swivel joint 200 hours ago so I don't think that should be an issue. It seems like it is not getting enough flow to the swing motor. Every other function works perfectly with great power. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Need help with plumbing a log splitter on my New holland EC25
]Hey guys i am at a loss as why my splitter is not working on my excavator. I am pretty sure I have it plumbed right. only one of the hoses is jumping when i press the pedal. the other is not. I am not getting any movement of the ram.. I removed the one hose that was not jumping around when pressing the pedal and the ram moved about 3-4 inches in both directions with the pedal, which confuses me even more? Do i not have a 2 way valve on this machine for running a splitter or auger attachment? I attached pictures of how i have it hooked up along with the owners manual pages so you guys can offer some advice or see if i am doing something wrong? thanks in advance
