Question on Bobcat 337 swing
Hi I just recently purchased a 2004 337 g excavator. It has 3000 hours and is in excellent shape. Very tight and no leaks. I have a question on the swing. When I have the stick fully extended away from the machine body and swing at full speed for 180 degrees or more and stop the machine clicks about 3 times before stopping. It does not do this when the boom is closer to the body, or if I counter swing to the opposite direction during full rotation / speed. Full 360 degrees rotation is smooth and has plenty of swing power. I was wondering if this is normal for Bobcats. I have a Takeuchi 135 that does not do this but does not stop as quickly at full extension as the Bobcat. I really love the 337. Tons of power and very smooth. Such a big step for me from the Tb135. Thanks for helping.

Minni Excavator: Kubota KX the best?
HI,
is there someone out there who could give me a steer with regards to the best mini digger available on the market.
I have some buying perimeters, which are:
Max tow weight is 2 t ( so I can use my 4x4).
Have a full cab.
Ultra reliable.
I am about to start a new build for a 3 houses on a sloping site and there is a fair amount of work for the machine to get through. In addition I hope to supplement my build with some days where I can hire 'man & machine' out.
There are a lot of machines out there and I have looked at:
JCB 8014, 8016, 8018
Takeuchi tb016, tb219
Yanmar sv15
Kubota
KX41 3v
KX36 3
The Kubota KX41 seems to be edging things at the moment as this machine seems to have some good reviews, but I wonder how these diggers cope in the real world? Any advice pls

What is similiar to a Kubota KX 80?
Hello!
I am looking to buy a mini excavator of sort and to give some background info I will be turning up to possibly 13 acres into a campground/RV park. So I will be cutting some roads in putting in culverts, bringing down a lot of trees obviously moving a lot of gravel and grading multiple large rv sites. I have looked at some minis at our local rental place I would love to have something the size of a Kubota KX 80 or possibly the KX 161-3. There seams to be quite a big difference between the 80 and 161 8,000lbs different to say the least. I am wondering what other brands are similar to these two pieces of equipment in size and capabilities our rental place only has kubotas and also wondering if i could pull the kx-80 with my dodge ram 3500? Any recomindations or info would be great!

Kabelco safety switch
Kobelco wiring trouble
Model - sk25sr-2
I'm having trouble with the safety switch on the arm rest. I have jumped it out unhooked it and everything else I could think of. Could it be a solenoid stuck or malfunctioning ? The motor runs fine and I have hydraulic pressure other places just not to the controls including the drive motors.
Thank you

CAT 303 CR has the shakes...........
Hi,
So my 303cr was having the shakes, about 60 (clock) hours or so ago. Figured her out pretty quick....., the fuel filters. New filters, problem solved. Pulled her into the shop, drained all the fuel, cleaned the tank, which was clean to begin with, and 60 hours later, same issue, and same remedy to fix it. So, any idea why this is happening.? Use shell diesel, it's not super cold where I am, and haven't had the same issue in the previous 600 hours of operation on same machine. Just carry extra filters now, but would like to know why this is happening.......... Any ideas?

KX final drive "inspection plate" removal
Hello all
I am working on a 121-3ss for a friend of the family. It has a locked up final drive. I took the whole assembly off and I'm having trouble taking the plate off the front(where the three drain plugs are). I called Kubota and order a service manual but it won't be in for a week. I talked to a service guy and he said there are drive pins "around the perimeter" and I need to drive them into the plate.
Well, I can't find them anywhere on the round side surface or the plate itself. And the parts diagram i have is no help either. Does anyone have any experience with this that will "throw me a bone" or confirm the service mans info?

CAT 302.5C OEM Replacement Oil Pump Needed!!!
I have a CAT 302.5C Mini Excavator. I don't know the year of make, but i know it runs on a Mitsubishi S3L2 Model engine. Currently my technician has opened up the engine because of some engine problems only to find out that the Oil Pump is very bad. Since then i have been on the lookout for a replacement Oil Pump that will match the one that is bad.
I will prefer a cheaper OEM replacement because the original is cost prohibitive and this is an old engine that i bought second hand some years back.
Anybody with knowledge where i can get a replacement for the Oil Pump?
Thanks,
Mayowa

Converting a Mini excavator to electric
New to the forum. Was wondering if anyone out there have any advice to convert a kubota kx41-2 and a kubota kx61-2 to electric. Both these have blown motors so now is the perfect time to convert. I know IHI and CB make a micro excav, but am looking for something bigger for indoor projects. Any advise would be appreciated

Intermittent shut off?????
Hi,
I have an 04 304CR, hardly use it, maybe two or three jobs a year. Occasionally it will shut off and I have to turn the key off and lift the arm handle, restart and only for it to shut down 2 min later. Sometimes I can go for hours without it shutting down.... And sometimes 30 seconds. You can see where this is annoying. It also will not shut down sometimes, but this only happens sometimes. We have all new oil, air and fuel filters. I'm thinking something electrical but don't know. There is something on the motor that I think may be the problem but don't know the name the part, I keep thinking its a fuel shut off solenoid, it has a piston and goes in and out with the key on and off and a couple wires. Anyway sorry for being long winded but just picked up another job for it and need to get it going by next Wed. CAT is to far away and $$$$$$$. Any help would be great.

Cabin wobbles
Hi everyone, new to the forum. I am Dutch, live in France and I own a 1990 Peljob EB12 1.5t mini digger, I've had it for 2 years. It is a very old machine, but I just keep it well greased and hope for the best! :D
I don't think anyone on here will be familiar with the make (Peljob was bought by Volvo, they later came out with model EB12.4 with looks similar, but has the joystick controls). Maybe someone with knowledge of 20+ year old machines can point me in the right direction...
I have noticed the cabin wobbles a bit, not just horizontally, but also up and down (about 1cm or half an inch when you "rock" the cabin). I took away some of the panels today, but I couldn't see what would cause this. I noticed the 6 bolts that hold down the motor that turns the cabin where all loose, I fastened those but didn't notice much difference.
any ideas?

This is a 2200lb boulder my machine picked up with surprisingly not much trouble. Not sure if that's impressive or not so perhaps I'd ask. Placed it at the mouth of a culvert as a retaining wall for rip rap.

Bobcat 322 Leaking @ Swivel - Pics inside!
Hey guys, purchased this mini ex and the swivel is leaking. Its coming from the very bottom of the machine, looks like right behind the snap ring.
I brake-cleaned and blew off the whole area. Let it sit for 12 hrs or so and then you can see it weep. Looks like someone had "siliconed" it and tried to stop it from leaking at one point.
My question is, can i just removel the snap ring and get to the seal right behind it? I have the parts diagram from the dealer and was planning on ordering just the bottom seals/ring. Does the outer case pull off or?
Let me know, never taken one of these apart but the mechanically inclined aspect i have covered :)
Thanks in advance
